## Patterns

Travel [95] is trip-based only — each trip is a fully separate, self-contained unit.
El Salvador and Joshua Tree are never mixed — separate data, separate logs, separate closes.
Finance logging — only USR369's and Vilma's personal shares, not group totals.
Trip close = expenses reconciled, balances settled, no pending items.
Always confirm gas amounts and outstanding balances before closing a trip.

## Lessons — 07/25-07/26/26 session
- Found and fixed a real bug: Travel's system_code (10) collided with Master's decade_code (10) in [api] - any resolve_system(10) call silently hit Master instead of Travel. Fixed to system=95 (T632, closed).
- settings.json was stale (v1.6-PENDING, GCO/FCO fields, inter_system_enabled=false) and had 2 of its own session_open steps still hardcoded to system=10 - fixed, bumped to v1.8, inter_system_enabled=true.
- D362 (from Daily [05]): Travel owns all logging during an active trip, Daily does not double-log. Applies now to SD2026.
- Found 5 stale -10 suffix gov file stubs in this directory (flagged for deletion since 07/13, never done) - neutralized with deprecation notices, no delete tool available to actually remove them.
- This file and jurisdiction-95.md and todo-95.md all had leaked HTML nav-menu garbage appended (likely a bad write-api call at some point) - stripped, originals backed up to backups/95-travel/gov/.
